Your journal is personal. Here is how Starting Over handles information.

Your journal and permissions
Mood entries, notes, program start date, and progress are stored locally on your device. We do not upload that journal content to our servers or RevenueCat. No account is required. The app does not request location, camera, or microphone access.
Your operating system may include app data in device backups, depending on your settings. Those backups are handled by your device or backup provider, not by a Starting Over sync service.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes payments. RevenueCat helps validate purchases, restore access, and understand subscription performance. This involves purchase history, receipts or purchase tokens, subscription status, a randomly generated app user identifier, and technical information needed to provide the service. We do not receive your full payment card details. Your journal content is not included in purchase processing.

Support and this website
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to send. Please avoid sending private journal entries or sensitive information unless needed for your request. We use support messages to respond and resolve issues.
Cloudflare hosts this site and processes connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect it. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or nonessential cookies to this website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Use and sharing
We use information to provide purchased access, respond to support requests, understand purchase performance, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information may be processed by the service providers described above, or disclosed where required by law. Providers may process information outside your country.
Retention and your choices
Local journal data remains until you remove the app’s data or delete the app. Device backups may retain copies; manage those through your device’s backup settings. We cannot retrieve journal entries from our servers. Purchase records may be retained as necessary to provide access, handle transactions, and meet legal obligations. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and related issues.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, object to processing, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact startingoverapp@outlook.com to make a request. We may need information to verify and locate purchase or support records. Where applicable, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations, or consent.
Children and changes
Starting Over is intended for adults and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us. We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the effective date on this page.
