Using Starting Over

Starting Over is a personal mood and journaling app intended for adults. By using it, you agree to these terms. You may use the app for lawful personal purposes. You keep ownership of the notes and other content you create.

The 90-day program

The 90-day structure is a journaling timeframe, not a promise that you will recover or reach a particular emotional outcome within 90 days. Starting Over does not provide AI coaching, human coaching, therapy, medical care, legal advice, or emergency support. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

Subscriptions and lifetime access

Where offered, the program subscription renews automatically every three months until you cancel through your Apple or Google account. Three calendar months may differ from exactly 90 days. The price, currency, billing period, and any offer are shown by the store before purchase. The program’s day counter does not cancel your subscription.

Lifetime access is a separate one-time purchase for the paid features included with that purchase, for as long as the app is operated and supported. It is not a recurring subscription. It does not guarantee that the service will operate forever.

Manage or cancel subscriptions through the store where you purchased. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. Refund requests are handled under the relevant store’s policies and applicable consumer law. Nothing here limits your mandatory consumer rights.

Your data

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and managing backups. Journal content is stored locally; deleting app data, losing your device, or removing the app may cause data loss. We cannot recover journal content from a Starting Over server. Our privacy policy explains information handling.

Availability and responsibility

We may update the app and its features. We aim to keep it useful and reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every future device, or specific results. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as available without additional warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Apple and Google

Your use is also subject to the applicable store terms. For the iOS app, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app license. These terms supplement it and do not override mandatory store or consumer protections.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms and will update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required. Contact startingoverapp@outlook.com with questions about access, billing, or these terms.
